1990
The entrepreneur, Carlo Maffioli, founds Promos with a group of partners. The mission of the new company will be promotion and management of commercial real estate and investments.
1990/97
Thanks to a strategic vision that anticipates the market’s evolution, the company develops a number of projects with some of the largest national and international real estate groups. It also contributes to the development, growth and management of major Shopping Centers and Retail Parks.
1998
The company imported the Factory Outlet Village format to Italy. From then on, a number of similar structures sprang up all over the country, also thanks to Promos.
During those years, the malls developed included: Centro Commerciale Europa (Palazzolo sull’Oglio – Brescia), Franciacorta Outlet Village (Rodengo Saiano – Brescia), Valdichiana Outlet Village (Foiano della Chiana – Arezzo), Palmanova Outlet Village (Aiello del Friuli – Udine), Cilento Outlet (Eboli – Salerno).
2014

FILIPPO
MAFFIOLI
after earning a degree in Law, he went abroad to gain significant experience, first earning a Master’s degree in “Management and Business Administration” at the University of California (San Diego) and then participating in the promotion of several commercial real estate project in Shanghai (China) per Boss & Young, an important international law firm. Upon his return to Italy, he took on the position of Sales and Marketing Director at Promos.
Among his institutional roles are:
– CNCC (the Italian National Council of Shopping Malls): member of the national board of directors and Chairman of the Factory Outlet Center commission.
– ECSP (European Council of Shopping Places): member of the European commission on “Retailers and Leasing Working Group”
TOMASO
MAFFIOLI
he holds a decree in Economics and Management of Institutions and Financial Markets from the Bocconi University (Milan), He gained significant experience, then, in Geneva in the sector of International INvestment Funds. These studies prepared him to take over Project Development at Promos upon his return to Italy in 2008.
He is a member of associations and institutions like the Compagnia delle Opere of Brescia and the Young Entrepreneurs Group in the Industrial Association of Brescia.
2016
Promos inaugurates the first food court an Italian outlet, at the Valmontone mall.
The “hybrid” format
born thanks to Promos: Scalo Milano Outlet&More.
It is a shopping “distretto” that mixes outlet and retail center and offers fashion, food and, for the first time, design.
2018/19
the company undertakes management of the Mondovicino Outlet Village (Mondovì – Cuneo) and the shopping mall Le Vele (Desenzano del Garda – Brescia)
2020
Promos celebrates its 30th anniversary and initiates a new path: restoring value and relaunching on the market older structures that have lost their sparkle.
2021/22
This is the time when the portfolio adds: Città Sant’Angelo Outlet Village (Città Sant’Angelo -Pescara), Outlet Center Brenner (Brennero – Bolzano), Parco Commerciale Campo Grande (Brescia) and Via Mantova (Brescia).
